Configuring Automated Linen Strip for Departure Cleans
This article guides Optii Champions and Manager users through configuring the Optii system to automatically generate Linen Strip jobs for all departure rooms, significantly increasing the efficiency of your housekeeping workflow.
Understanding the Linen Strip Function
The Linen Strip function automates the creation of a separate job specifically for removing soiled linen and towels from rooms. This allows a designated team member (like a houseman, or linen porter) to complete this task quickly across multiple rooms, often before the cleaning attendants begin their main task (departure).
😎 Optii is configured to target one specific segment of jobs: all departure cleans scheduled for the day.
Workflow Automation
When this feature is enabled, Optii performs the following automation:
-
Job Identification: The system reviews all cleaning jobs scheduled for the day and identifies those marked as a Departure Clean.
-
Job Duplication: For every identified Departure Clean, the system automatically creates a duplicate job dedicated solely to the Linen Strip function.
-
Assignment & Routing: These generated Linen Strip jobs can then be automatically assigned to the team member or team designated to handle stripping tasks, creating a streamlined, two-step cleaning process (strip clean).
