This article guides Optii Champions and Managers users through configuring how the Optii system handles the Do Not Disturb (DND) status and how existing incomplete jobs for that room are managed on the timeline and in team members' apps.
Understanding the Options
When a user sets a room status to Do Not Disturb (DND) in Ius, you have three configuration choices for how the system should react to any existing incomplete jobs for that room:
Option |
System Action |
Operational Impact |
| Cancel incomplete jobs | The job is removed from the timeline and the team member's app. | Requires a new job to be created manually if service is needed later. |
| Unassign incomplete jobs | The job is removed from the assigned team member's app but remains on the central timeline. | Keeps the job visible for coordinators or managers to manage later in the day. |
| Disabled | No action is taken. The job remains assigned (if applicable) and in the timeline. | Allows the job to be checked by the assigned team member at the end of the shift. |
⭐️ Recommendation: It is typically recommended to choose Disabled. This allows the job to remain in the Timeline for the day, ensuring that housekeepers can revise all DND rooms at the end of their shift before clocking out, which is a standard operational procedure.
