Understanding the Departure Job

A "Departure" job within our system signifies the process of preparing a room after a guest has checked out. This involves a series of tasks, from cleaning to updating the room's status in both our system and your PMS. Our integrated approach minimizes manual input and maximizes efficiency. 

How the Automated Departure Process Works:

  1. PMS Trigger: The departure process begins with a trigger from your PMS. When a guest checks out in the PMS, this information is automatically communicated to our system via the interface.
  2. Job Creation & Assignment: Upon receiving the departure notification, our system automatically creates a "Departure" job. This job is then assigned to the appropriate Room Attendant, detailing the necessary tasks for preparing the room.   3. Room Attendant Execution: The Room Attendant follows the assigned checklist, ensuring the room is thoroughly cleaned and prepared according to your hotel brand standards.   4. Completion & Inspection: Once the Room Attendant completes the departure job, they mark the job as "Done" within our system and update your PMS with the room status "Clean" or "Ready for an Inspection". This triggers an inspection phase.
  • Inspector's Role & Completion Options:
    • Review Your Scoring Checklist: Before proceeding, the inspector will review all the departure jobs completed by the room attendant, and any additional jobs assigned to this room, 
    • Choose the Appropriate Completion Option:
      • Tap "Complete & Pass": Once the inspector is confident in the room's readiness, they tap the "Complete & Pass" button. This action triggers an important workflow:
        • System Status Update: Our system updates the room's status to "Done."
        • PMS Update: Through the second interface, our system updates your PMS, indicating the room is now Inspected or Ready for a Guest to check-in.
      • Tap "Complete & Fail": If the inspector identifies any issues or discrepancies, they tap "Complete & Fail." This action triggers an important workflow:
        • Automatic Correction Generation: The system automatically generates a "Correction" task for the Room Attendant, detailing the necessary rectifications.
        • Attendant Completion and Check Task: Once the Room Attendant completes the correction, the system creates a "Check" task for the inspector.
    • Completing the "Check" Task (if applicable): If a "Check" task is generated, the inspector performs a final inspection and completes the task, ensuring all corrections have been made.
