Getting Started: Opening the Timeline

To access the Timeline, simply click the purple drop-down menu next to "Jobs" and select "Timeline." Once open, you'll notice several key options in the top left corner: Dates, Type of View, and Timing.

Dates: Planning Ahead

By default, the Timeline displays today's date. However, you can click the date to select future dates, enabling you to proactively schedule your team and support your AM team’s smooth start.


 

Types of Views: Simplified vs. Detailed

  • Simplified View: Get a quick, high-level overview of daily assignments. This view displays each room attendant's name and assigned credits, perfect for a snapshot of overall progress.
  • Detailed View: Dive deeper into performance and task distribution. This view includes room attendant names, credit breakdowns (Departure and Stayover), cleaned room percentages, and total task counts.

 

Seamlessly switch between these views to match your operational needs. Need a quick credit check? The Simplified View is your go-to. Want detailed performance metrics? 

 

Tip: The Detailed View provides comprehensive insights. Plus, look for helpful symbols like room notes for added context.

 

Timing: Tailoring Your View

The Timing option, located next to the Simplified/Detailed View toggle, allows you to adjust the refresh rate to 5 minutes, 15 minutes, or 1 hour.

Understanding the Screen:
  • The top displays the current time, based on your property's time zone, aiding in task duration assessment.
  • The red line indicates the current time and simulates Move Around Time (MAT), the transition between rooms.
  • Gaps between room cards represent transition times.
  • The red line also allows you to track rooms that have not yet begun cleaning.



In the example below,  you can see that in room 301, the housekeeper started to clean the room around 4:30 PM and finished the cleaning a little past 5:30 PM 

Tip: The red line represents the exact current time and moves to the right as time progresses. This also simulates Move Around Time (MAT)—the transition period between rooms, from the moment a Housekeeper hits END on one room until they hit START on the next.

The space between rooms represents the time it takes for a Room Attendant to move from one room to another. This gap will appear larger or smaller depending on how long it takes to transition from Room A to Room B.

The red line will continue moving to the right for rooms that have not yet started cleaning, helping you track real-time progress.

 Timing Increments:

  • 5-Minute View: Provides a granular, microscopic view, ideal for tracking individual room durations.

  • 15-Minute View: The most practical option for daily operations and task management.

  • 60-Minute View: Offers a high-level overview, perfect for quickly assessing overall progress.

This view allows you to see all room cards—whether they have been cleaned, are currently being cleaned, or have yet to be cleaned—giving you a broad overview of your operation at a glance.

 

💡 Tip: You can customize your view by combining the Timing options (5, 15, or 60 minutes) with either the Simplified or Detailed View to get the exact level of insight you need!

Rooms Tab: Detailed Room Information

Clicking the "Rooms Tab" opens a panel on the right, displaying:

  • Room Number
  • Room Type
  • Current Room Status
  • Use filters and arrows to easily find specific rooms, and click a room number to view associated jobs.

 

 

 

Filtering and Customization

Utilize the filter option in the top right corner to customize your view by Locations, Departments, Roles, or team members. The full-screen option maximizes your viewing area.

 

Need to increase your computer view? The full-screen option has you covered!

 

Need to clear jobs but only specific tasks? Optii will give you the option to pick and choose!
